The Land of the Great Masurian Lakes is one of the most attractive regions of Poland, taking into consideration both – tourism and landscape. Around the Great Masurian Lakes a 310 km cycling loop with a varied surface has been marked out and prepared – from forest roads, gravel tracks among fields to safe paths along roads.
There is also in the voivodship of Warmia and Masuria the route Green Velo. Its length amounts to 397 km, a half of which runs along special bicycle paths. You can ride on the route Green Velo from Elbląg, through Frombork, Braniewo, Pieniężno, Górowo Iławeckie, Lidzbark Warmiński, Bartoszyce, Korsze, Węgorzewo till you get to Goldap and the east of the region, in order to continue your trip in the Suwałki-region.
